Review : This device is small and portable, a good thing, right? It has lots of functions, timers, lap counters, etc. Mostly I wanted a digital compass. At my location, where I know the direction of true north, the Pyle compass indicated the correct direction, when I had it outside and away from any metal objects. The manual suggested calibrating the compass, and I could never figure out how to do this. But only a stickler for accuracy would quibble about the accuracy out-of-the-box. I would recommend this unit to casual hikers and bikers. Note: When reading the compass, be sure to hold the unit as horizontal as possible. I took off 1 star because I found the manual to be confusing.
