Review : I immediately plugged in the speakers & tested them out. They sound great! You can really crank em up! I like the separate Master Volume & Mic Volume knobs. I keep the Treble & Bass turned up all the way. If you're expecting deep Bass from these speakers, forget it. You'll get Bass, but nothing heavy. Blu Tooth works flawlessly with my iPhone. I connected a 16GB thumb drive loaded with MP3s to the USB port & the system played it without any issues. I also extensively tested the active speaker as the Mic channel for my karaoke setup. I have no complaints. I used both Mic inputs and my voice audio was crystal clear & did not distort...at all. The included Remote Control is basic but works just fine for this setup. I have not used the Rear Aux Inputs or Outputs yet. Lastly, the LEDs in the speakers are a great addition to this system. Although, the lights only pulsate at higher volume levels. It would be nice for the LEDs to blink at even the lowest levels. I have several disappointments with this system. The major disappointment is the FM radio. I can't pick up much, but that could be due to the short antenna or maybe FM signals are weak in my area. Guess it doesn't really matter though since I didn't buy this system for it's radio function. The other downside is the 3.5mm Aux cable that was included. It didn't seem like they made a solid connection at the Aux port end. The passive speaker kept cutting in and out. I had to adjust the connector at the Aux port end to keep the sound from cutting in & out of the passive speaker. I'm going to try another cable to see if they'll work better. The other problem I have isn't a performance issue but a Quality issue. The bottom-left port on the active speaker was broken on the inside. It appears to be a round silver plastic insert with a 'target grid' type thing on the inside. There are 2 port inserts per speaker. It is this 'target grid' thing that is broken. I have no idea what this piece would be for anyway so it's not really a big deal to me. I just wanted to mention it. Finally, The workmanship quality is good but corners are protected by plastic and the speaker stand mounts at the bottom of each speaker is made of plastic as well. However, they seem sturdy enough though. The plastic handle on top of each speaker seem secure but they feel like they could break at any moment. I don't feel comfortable carrying these speakers by their handles. Overall, these speakers are exactly what I was looking for & at a price I couldn't pass up. I'm very happy with this purchase and expect to be using this system quite a bit. Since Blu-Tooth is the norm now, I highly recommend getting this system compared to the non-Blu-Tooth systems. Wireless is the way to go! Thanks for reading!
