Review :
I recently purchased 2 PMW8A speakers to use in my guitar cab. What drew me to these where their frequency response and on line price. I look for a more treble sound with not much bass. Because 60hz hum falls below the frequency response of the speakers they cut a lot of noise out. I drove each speaker at max output of my amp, 100 watt rms x 2, and they both preformed wonderfully loud and strait forward.
cons: In a guitar application the speaker offer no additional texture, distortion or break up like vintage guitar speakers. Also palm muted play lacks a bit of grunt. I would pair these with a set of speakers with a lower frequency response to compensate.
